Those of you who remember the Clint Eastwood film and indeed the Erroll Garner tune will recall it was set in a late night radio station - KRML.
Well the good news is that the station is still running and can be heard on-line - click on the link at the top of the sidebar.
It's as cool now as it was then in the movie - come to think of it the movie was on TV last Saturday as an antidote to the Eurovision Song Contest - I understand we came in last in that clambake. Well, to me, coming last in the Eurovision is in reality winning!
Getting back to KRML, the radio station still has some of the props used in the film such as the hi-fi console and plays music that is the coolest.
As I type I'm listening to a feature on Jim Hall - grab a piece if you're on-line Roly.
There's good stuff coming out of that studio.
Talking good stuff - Roberta Flack singing The First Time Ever I Saw You Face. Was there ever a song so evocative, so full of erotic imaging??
Lance.
